Billie Swamp Safari is located on the Big Cypress Seminole Indian Reservation near Lake Okeechobee. Explore over 2,000 acres of pristine land in the Florida Everglades preserved by the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Experience eco tours, airboat rides on the lake, bird and reptile exhibits, a swamp critter show and a venomous snake show. It is a good idea to call ahead to make sure the shows are scheduled for the day of your visit. For an exciting adventure, plan to stay overnight in the native style camping village.
Alligators, Panthers and Egrets
Under the care of the Seminole Tribe, the land occupied by Billie Swamp Safari retains its original character and an abundance of Florida wildlife. Expect to see animals in the water, in the sky and on land. Keep your eye out for Florida panthers, turtles, fish, deer, snakes, egrets and other wading tropical birds. Alligator sightings are common and often the cause for excitement among visitors. Walk around the grounds and see exhibits throughout the park like reptile displays, alligator pits and African spur thighed turtles.
